Make plans to join us for our annual Mother/Daughter Banquet on Friday, May 11 at 7:00 PM.  We will have a time of fellowship and encouragement.  Mrs. April Mack is the guest speaker for this year’s banquet.  We ask that each lady bring her favorite finger food to share and indicate at the Welcome Center that she is attending.

 

About our speaker… April Mack was raised a Pastor’s daughter and never desired to be in ministry, but God had other plans. After marrying her high school sweetheart, April’s husband Roy surrendered to preach. It was a short while before Aprilsurrendered to allow God to work in her life how He saw fit. April worked diligently in the real estate business, owning and managing her own real estate company to provide an income while she and Roy started a church in Roy’s hometown in Arkansas. God blessed their church. In 1999, God moved Roy and April to Georgia to Pastor the Pinecrest Baptist Church. April enjoys teaching ladies classes, mentoring young couples, traveling on mission trips and most of all, being a wife to Roy and a mom to Alison, Ashle’Anne, Amelia & Alivia, her “French daughter” – Marie, as well as numerous “adopted” girls that frequent the Mack house. Lately, April is busy planning a June wedding for Ashle’Anne.

Immediately following the service we will have a time of fellowship in the gymnasium.  We will be having taco salads for dinner.  The church will be providing the meat and also brownies for dessert.  We ask that each church family sign up to bring other items for the taco salads.  Please feel free to sign up at the welcome center or below.

]]> http://bbc4me.com/3-weak-women/feed/ 0 Titus 2 Soup and Sandwich http://bbc4me.com/titus-2-soup-and-sandwich/ http://bbc4me.com/titus-2-soup-and-sandwich/#comments Wed, 25 Jan 2012 21:52:25 +0000 bbc4me http://bbc4me.com/?p=573 We are looking forward to having a wonderful time of fellowship as we gather together Sunday night, February 19, for Soup and Sandwiches!  Following the meal the ladies Titus 2 group will meet to finish gathering the items that we are sending our missionary Miriam Wheeler in the Ukraine.  She is involved in medical missions there and has a need for hats, scarves, small toys for children, as well as blankets for babies.  In addition to her medical ministry among the villages, she is also at work with other believers to open a crisis pregnancy center.  If you would like to bring in items for this need or give money to help pay for the postage, please see Sarah Davis or Kristie Biang.  There is a sign-up below if you would like to bring soup for the fellowship.

This banquet is not intended only for couples, but also for those who are widowed or are still looking for that special someone.  We will have a night full of fun, fellowship and delicious food.  Be sure to get your ticket early to reserve your space!
